The Client
Royal Canin, a subsidiary of Mars and a leading French manufacturer of dog and cat food, has been pioneering research into breed and symptom-specific nutritional requirements for pets since its establishment in 1968. Recognised and recommended by veterinarians worldwide, Royal Canin caters to pet owners, vets, and various businesses involved in the pet food industry, offering a diverse range of dietary solutions tailored to the needs of cats and dogs.
With a focus on promoting their new sensory cat food range, Royal Canin sought innovative video boxes to engage consumers effectively. These video boxes were envisioned as a means to showcase the unique formulation and benefits of the new range, providing insights into why it’s the ideal choice for discerning cat owners. Similarly, another video box was planned for promoting a dog bowl that measures food weight, accompanied by the featured dog food, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to enhancing the pet ownership experience.
Printed Video Box
We carefully designed the boxes to match Royal Canin’s red and white colours, staying true to their brand identity. Customisation was paramount, ensuring the boxes perfectly accommodated the respective products while maintaining visual consistency with the brand’s aesthetic. Carefully crafted fitments were integrated into the design to securely hold the cat food pouches and the dog bowl in place, enhancing both presentation and practicality.
The result was stunning. The cat food box featured a sleek silhouette, complemented by spot UV detailing and a purple inner case elegantly housing the three pouches of cat food. This compact yet impactful design proved ideal for showcasing the new sensory cat food range, capturing the attention of consumers and effectively conveying Royal Canin’s message of quality and innovation.
Dog Video Box
Similarly, the dog food box, the first of its kind produced for Royal Canin, garnered praise for its functionality and visual appeal. With a tailored fitment securely holding the dog bowl and food, the box maintained the brand’s aesthetic integrity, adorned with spot UV accents on the lid.
The positive reception from both the brand and consumers paved the way for future collaborations, including the development of a video brochure, further cementing Royal Canin’s position as a leader in pet nutrition and innovation.
